The information we collect and how we use it.Your univadis account, your user name and password will allow you to access sections of the univadis site and other websites especially aimed at or available exclusively to physicians members of univadis. When you first register on our website at www.univadis.ca and when you register for one of our services, you must complete each and every mandatory field to obtain access to the website such as your name, address, postal code, phone number, professional license number, e-mail address and specialty. You may also provide information regarding your areas of interests, which is not mandatory.
We gather this information to allow us to process your registration, to validate your professional license and to provide you with customized content, including articles relating to your fields of interest and various conferences and training opportunities, as well as using it to develop and improve our services.
If we are unable to confirm that you are a member in good standing of your Corporation in Canada with the information you have provided in your registration form, we will contact you to obtain additional information. If we do not obtain the necessary information within 5 days, we will cancel your registration to Univadis.
Your personal information will be used, processed and retained by MFCL in Brussels and Charlotte, United States. Your information will be available to MFCL and may also be available to MFCL 's affiliates or companies working as agents on behalf of MFCL (such as companies that collect and process your information, invite you to participate in scientific and/or professional programs as well as to deliver to you educational and scientific material on behalf of MFCL, as well as companies that fulfill your requests for more information about our products or other services). MFCL has sought assurances by contract from these companies that they will only use this information at MFCL’s direction, in a manner that is consistent with this Statement and our Privacy Policy as well as with the permission you gave, if applicable. These companies are also required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits them from sharing, selling, or in any way providing this information to anyone else.
